The Winetown Labyrinth 

I have always been fascinated by labyrinths – not tall ones where you can really get lost, but those in which you can see the design on the ground as you walk into them and it is like physically entering a drawing or a strange and marvellous place. For Winetown,  I wanted to create a labyrinth that used the simple, yet beautiful form of the wine bottle and the transparency and colour of its glass. The candles at night introduce a  play of the reflections that  will transform the scene in unexpected ways. 

At the entrance to the Labyrinth a quotation by Tiziano Scarpa invites the visitor to enter. Whoever reaches the middle may read a series of quotations by poets and philosophers about the value of wine.
